KUWAIT: The education ministry decided to allow children of people whose nationalities were revoked to register in public schools and receive education until the end of high school. An educational source said the ministry followed the legal procedures in this matter before making its decision, and sought the opinion of the Fatwa and Legislation Department which allowed them to complete all school stages.
Education Ministry’s Undersecretary Dr Haitham Al-Athari had issued a circular in which he said that children of Kuwaiti women will be allowed to register in public schools and complete all stages. But in case the mother was not Kuwaiti, then her registered children will be allowed to complete their school stages.
