Indian Central School lionized her Sports Day on 26th Nov 2016, Saturday with bizarre drills and events in Al Naser Sporting Club, Ardiya. The Principal Dr. Shanta Maria James welcomed the Chief Guest, Mr. Talal Khalifa Al Jeri, Chairman of the school, Mr. Ashok Kalara, Chairman, Mugal Mahal Chain of Restaurants, Mr. Hameed Rafi, Managing Director, Arabian Minerals Company, Mrs. Jaya Wilson, Principal Integrated Indian School and the other dignitaries who came to exalt the epic event of the school. After the flag hoisting observance, the chief guest of the ceremony Mr. Talal Khalifa Al Jeri received the salute of the March Past. This was followed by the sports captain’s oath taking ceremony and the chief guest declaring the sports event open.
In this grand sports fete, 1820 students participated and there were 7 displays that made the spectators awe struck. It was spectacular to watch the panoramic view and grandeur of the displays Splashing Rainbow, We Like to Party, Waka, Waka, Arabian Nights, Hurmonising Stances, Rocking the Poles and Bhangda Jalwa, demonstrated by the students. It was a proud moment for them as they learned how unity, discipline, co-ordination, and rhythmic movements can attract the spectators. The track event really enthralled the spectators as it threw light on the future athletes.  In the final Prize Distribution ceremony the parents were honored by being the guests of the occasion to distribute the prizes to the winners. ‘Talal Al Khalifa Al Jeri’ Ever Rolling Trophy for the overall winners was awarded to Sapphire House and ‘Dr. Shanta Maria James’ Ever Rolling Trophy for March Past, Sponsored by the Principal Dr. Shanta Maria James, was won by Ruby House. The hearty participation of the parents and students made the program a grant success. The program culminated with the prize distribution and the Indian National Anthem.
The school feels proud and thanks the quests, parents, students, teachers & staffs for their active participation in this event.
